I'm a human ecologist filled with random facts! On most days, I'm just a crazy dog lady who wanders through life seeing the curiosities in this world. In 2011, I was on a quest: Project365 (p365). I took a picture everyday. That may be the first and last time I complete a New Year Resolution! Now, I'm trying to find quirky, kitschy joy. Beware: There are a lot of pics of my pup. Realistically, this blog should be called Luke's Photo Booth! All in all, it is a story of a well-loved life.

He Will Not Be Moved!
This photo is a little blurry, but I wanted to post it b/c it should a rare side of my boy---STUBBORN! We went to go running with Sara (we get to walk with her pup Hallie, Luke's girl, after our run), but Sara's alarm clock didn't work quite right ... I thought the best gift for an active woman (mom, academic, reader, runner) would be a few extra minutes of sleep. Luke however, did NOT want to leave without seeing his Hallie (and Sara). I pulled and called; there he sat. Finally, we went over to the local dog park, and later Sara and I ended up connecting for a run. Luke was very, very happy. I can understand his persistence, the K-family is a true blessing: I love running and talking and listening. I love seeing Hallie for her brief sprinty gallop before our slow meandering walk. I love saying good morning to Mads, hearing about something she will do at school. And, I love hearing pearls of wisdom from Max. Recent examples:
Max: Hello, Christie. Did you know our dogs are kissing on the lips?
*
Max: Hello, Christie. I get to go see my grandparents. These are my mom's parents. If I keep my pull-up dry, I get to watch 20 minutes of Cars.

Sara, upon being locked-out to Max on the other side of the mail slot: Can you open the door?
Max: [Fiddles] No.
Sara: Is anyone else awake?
Max: No.
Sara: Can you get the keys? [Silence]
Max: Keys!
