Going to the Dentist--Seattle Style

You know you live in Seattle when your dentist serves Starbucks coffee. But not just coffee in a pot that was brewed who knows how long ago...in my dentist office there is a full espresso bar in the waiting room. It is fully automated; you can pick if you want short/tall/grande coffee or hot chocolate and the machine grounds the beans and brews it for you! I didn't really want coffee before my cleaning, and then my teeth were too pearly afterwards to desecrate with coffee stains, but I really wanted to try that machine. Actually, my dentist rocks--current, trashy magazines, Burt's Bees' chap stick, sunglasses so you don't have to be "blinded by the light", and a hygienist that tells you how much progress you are making with flossing/self-care. I think the hygienist even takes notes because she asks me if I've been to the Midwest lately and how Luke is doing... I won't say going to the dentist is fun, but it isn't as bad as it could be!
