I picked up Mads and Max for a day of fun of advenure. Hallie greeted us with a becoming bow. Max said she was cute "beyond compare".
We went to the park. There was an event there so we had to hike/walk a long, long, long ways from an outer parking lot to the water (oops). Poor little legs. Max tried to hide in the brush, but Mads found him. Mads also did a nice job of encouraging/cajoling/carrying her brother to the lake. Moreover, the kids did a great job taking turns throwing Luke the ball. They were great sports!
After we finished at the lake, there was a firetruck/firefighters in the lot near the event.
The kids got to sit in the driver's seat and look around.
We drove to get lunch. Luke was snuggly on the way home. The kids decided they like Luke's floppy ears. Luke decided he loves the kids.
One of my fav parts of the day is when Max asked to pet a woman's "marshmallow dog" (small, white dog). Then, Mads asked what type of dog. It was a Bichon mix. Max told the dog's person that the dog looked more like a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. The lady's mouth was agape with Max's prowess of dog breeds (the kids have been reading a book about dogs). I found the cute pic below. It is somewhere between a marshmallow dog and a Dandie!
