Professor Luke, Therapy Dog

Luke and I were invited to go to a friend's preschool so Luke could "teach" about friendship. The kids were able to pet Luke, and we brainstormed what makes a good friend (listening, being helpful, giving comfort). Luke even had his class photo taken (bottom right). We left just as sunbutter bagels were being served -- Luke couldn't have snack time as I'm not sure good friends steal each other's bagels!

Some funny quips:

A 5-year old after hearing that being helpful could be comforting, and seeing Luke nab a crumb off the floor: Luke is a helpful mop.

Teacher: Luke is 7. Is he older or younger than you?
4-year old: He's shorter!

I got an email from the teacher that five minutes after we left, the kids missed Luke. She said several of them drew pictures of their time together. Aw.
