Lake Serene

The day after we arrived back in Seattle, Luke and I met up with Lucy and Karen to hike to Lake Serene. This was one of the more challenging hikes I've finished. It was 7.2 miles with about 2,000 ft elevation gain. Phew. The payoffs - the waterfalls, view of the lake and sticking our feet in the cold water - were worth it.

Ok, this was the real payoff: the handmade milkshake on the drive home.
