Karen and I went snowshoeing today with our pups, Lucy & Luke. Awwww. It was SO cold. And fun. Mostly, fun. I have a hatchback, so Luke was a little confused when we told him to load up into the car, but we wouldn't let him stay in the trunk. Twice. We were confused when we couldn't find the trailhead--here is our first stop, the railroad town of Scenic.
Thanks to the help of a couple of guys with maps (we had directions, but not a map), we found the trailhead. Lucy did her best eel impression:
Luke, pretending to be the Master of all Villainy, dons a impenetrable disguise (hey, if Clark Kent can put on glasses and no one knows he is Superman....):
A little help? Just kidding, he bounces:
Karen blazes the trail...
Luke is pretty in white:
We had a lot of fun (and were really, really, really cold):
Latte on the way home (not pictured, but nurturing). The coffee stand had a sign that indicated that you could pay for purchase with cash or check, but would be charged a transaction fee if paying with credit card. Since the proprietors hated the credit industry for charging extra, they would give you a self-addressed stamped enveloped if you wanted to mail back your money without anyone paying the fee (while supporting the USPS!).
