Spaces of Chaos & Art (p365; 1.7.11)

Pigott @ SU
Psychopathology class started this week. I teach such an ugly subject in a beautiful space, replete with a coffee cafe and Chihuly glass sculpture. This atmosphere of artistic chaos may make everything, even diagnosis, seem illuminated.

The boys studied Chihuly last year at school. The only thing Colm could tell me about him is that he only has one eye. The school did make a pretty cool Chihuly-inspired piece of artwork though. It's pretty big and hangs in their library.

I'm intrigued by the concept of illuminated diagnosis. You should develop this idea, I think. Chihuly is a good way to illustrate.
