High-5 Pie (p365 1.4.11)

Last night I found out that there was a new pie shoppe located directly across from my corner of SU's campus. Megan is coming over for tea tonight, so I got us a little "cutie pie", a mini (2 inch diameter) mixed berry pie. They serve Fuel coffee, but with Stumptown just a stone's throw away, my block is not bereft of good joe. Now, as a Kansas-American, although I love Mom, Jesus, and Elvis, I haven't always been the biggest pie fan. In recent years, I've expanded my horizons (tarts were the gateway pie). Plus, one of my fave movies is Waitress, peripherally related to pie. There was a small taste of chocolate pecan pie at the counter, and that taste bodes well for the cutie pie (and gaining 500 lbs.?). Also, the pie purveyor comped me $.27 (she gave me $2 back instead of the 1 + change), so these are some nice pie ladies. Their kindness and the thought of High-5s made me smile on the walk up the hill to the car (I noticed several passers-by with grins too. Pie is good for community!). Here is a photo of their storefront/sign:

My belly doesn't have a camera, yet. We will just have to go see the pie for ourselves (well, you could eat the filling!).

I would gain 9,000 lbs if I lived near that place.
