Falcon Reunion (p365; 1.29.11)

Mel was one of my students at SPU, and she remains a friend. She is terrific: She reads several newspapers, books, and articles EVERYDAY. She is currently a school consoler, and we are working on a positive youth development grant proposal. We still have an academic tie, but I love our modern/hippie connections: eating Thai food (Mel @ Rom Mai, below) and chatting about potential/future life on Vashon, canning, growing veggies, raising chickens, keeping bees, having Luke jump into her Koi pond, dogs, and dogs, and dogs....
