Pet Friendly

Of all the things on my mind right now, it is Luke that is....here. It is just after 4 p.m. and he gets the loves and snuggles around 3--a full two hours before his dinner time. The pup can beg. When I'm eating and he wants a bite, he gives me the Jedi mind stare. But, when he wants his full-on dinner, he bows his head against my knee, crawls up beside the computer, wags his tail gently....  So many times I've given in. Why? Maybe that question/answer is what is really on my mind: Why do we know one thing and do something differently? I know that if I give in, Luke will start begging and begging earlier and earlier. But, that look. Those wags! I suppose this is part of the human condition. We know we shouldn't smoke, but many do. We know many healthy foods, yet we partake of yummy stuff. It seems that emotions often win over rational knowledge. Sigh.
