Americana Roadtrip (p365; 7.4-11.11)

The 4th of July wasn't happy for everyone. Thanks to Kathy's hubby for use of his closet (Kathy had a spot for Luke in her nice clean closet, but Luke had to have some "man time"):

Continuing from Portland, we went to Eugene (I was once a Duck). Luke, about to sneeze, is in front of my fav water fountain on campus. You can hear so many different water sounds (to honor the blind):

On to the weirdness of Grant's Pass:

Our first campground in Brookings. A pup and a pup tent! But, who brings that many books?

Moonrise

 At the Trees of Mystery:

Luke took his first gondola ride. Clap!

Headed up the Coast:

At the Oregon Dunes:

Kitschy Americana:
Katie joined us for a night at Cape Lookout:

Nina and the boys met us in Manzanita:

Burying Colm:

Luke's floppy ear indicates gusts of wind
Last sunset

Not to bad for lack of showering!

Back in Portland, Kathy and I ran the very hilly Go! Girl! Trail Run (10K)

Ok, I bought a kitschy souvenir. The cat's name is Talons after the lyric from the Bowerbirds song (in our talons now). I may get a Beta fish named Za (short for Manzanita and my fav two-letter Scrabble word). Or, just a floating candle?
